Welcome to the Boise Architecture Project! We started this project in the spring of 2006 after being inspired by all the great architecture Boise has in its community. From Art Deco and Egyptian Revival public buildings downtown to Mission Style, Post-Modern and Internationalist private residences in our communities, Boise is a treasure trove of great architecture.
Please help the BAP preserve Boise architecture by donating to the project. Send checks made out to the Boise Architecture Project to

Students from the Timberline High School AP U.S. History classes, the THS Photography class and District Focus 208 projects, and the Capital High School AP Geography class fanned out over Boise, finding their favorite buildings, researching their historical and architectural backgrounds and most importantly taking pictures of the buildings' characteristics. We have posted our research and slides online for your education and enjoyment. All the pictures, unless documented, were taken by BAP participants. Also, student research has been compiled from interviews with building owners, architects, and/or occupants and help from several great preservation folk in the community. Please let us know what you think of our collection at boisearchproject@gmail.com
Special thanks to the inspiration of Professor Robert "Bungalow Bob" Winter who taught the L.A. Architecture course at Occidental College in 1989. We'll never forget those arches! And also thanks to Gary Thomsen, Sports Marketing teacher at Chief Sealth High School in Seattle for providing the inspiration for student neighborhood projects and local history research.
The community is welcome to contribute as well. Please try out the "Add Buildings" button in the left side menu on the home page and follow instructions.
A BIG Thanks goes out to the following groups for their continued support of the BAP:
